I've read that steroids and cold weather are associated with higher BG,
and I'm trying to figure out what is going on in my own case.

A dry cat food that is well known in Australia recently ran an TV
advertising campaign showing a mouse doing all it could to attract the
attention of a cat, including dancing!  The cat in the advert ignored the

Has anyone ever had a reaction to metformin?  Two days ago I started taking
1000mg Metformins 2x per day.  Last night I felt as if I couldn't breathe
and had a severe pressure in my chest.  I also take 35u of NovoLog

Hi, I am newly dx type 2 and trying to learn.
Just saw on TV about the need for cholesterol to help the pancreas to release
insulin. I am very interested in this since my LDL is way to low, and although
it always was low, the tremendous drop in LDL coincided with a sudden huge

The doctor just called with the lab results:
Home test: HbA1c = 5.1
Lab test: HbA1c = 6.0
So, it appears one must add nearly a whole percentage point to the home test
