When you get sick, do you eat more carbs?04 Aug 2005 09:43 GMT2
I've noticed that when I am sick, I seem to crave more carbs. I usually

And, if you do increase your carb intake while sick, does it seem like

why shouldn't I? I've been purposely adding in carbs, even when I don't
particularly want them, because I feel I need a certain amount of carbs....

Some general questions for you;
This may be a be a stupid question, but...how can Chung be a real doctor if he spends all his time on the internet?04 Aug 2005 04:04 GMT70
Well??
I've got him filtered (hey, I'm not STOOOPID!), so someone other than
the "doctor" should respond, or I'll forever be wondering how a guy who
claims to be a medical doctor can spend so much time on line.

I know the number to be under after meals is 140, but tonight, I had a

or 4 hours since dinner.) I tested before and was at 98. An hour later
I was 130, and another hour later I was at 105. At first I thought ...

Okay, now I'm bummed out..04 Aug 2005 00:32 GMT13
I'm starting to adjust to myself being diabetic. Monday, I took my 77
year old Mother for her check-up. They called her this evening and told
her that she is diabetic. They didn't give her any details and I haven't
found out what test(s) they used yet. Maybe it's good that I've ...

Glucose candy in the UK03 Aug 2005 20:07 GMT1
Is the kind of candy that's almost all glucose (Smarties in the US--I
think it's called Sweetarts elsewhere--in the US Sweetarts are
definitely something else) readily available in Britain, or should I
bring some with me?
