He had a segment on Kevin Trudeau's "Natural Cures" book. One of the guys (the one _not_ representing Trudeau) was spot on: The book doesn't really tell you how to cure anything.

I've just been diagnosed with diabetes. I have to take Metformin and Altace. Two hours after taking the Altace this morning, my T worsened big time. Tried to go to bed tonight and woke up 30 minutes later, my T was/is very bad. Started panicking, hot flashes, seeing no end,....... ...

the post is like diabetes in a nutshell, real good, I think. Still, as a T2 only on insulin I cannot help adding a few thoughts ;-) Ive been diagnosed for 15 years, and my endo told me on my first visit, that my kidneys looked like I had drunken 10-15 litres a day

The fats in peanuts comprise mostly in the form of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats which are healthy for heart . Is it good for diabetics too ? In India some people prefer to eat the boiled peanuts . Which is better , roasted / boiled ?

I am not ashamed to admit I am not an expert in diabetes. I have been looking into how long some T1's have to deal with their diabetes and feel so sorry for those that get it at a very young age or even older.

Does anyone know how often Medicare pays for a meter? I use an accucheck and it broke and I asked the pharmacy who supplies my oxygen and diabetic supplies and they said Medicare only pays for one once every 5 years. I always thought it was yearly.

Something odd has been happening to me yesterday and today. Yesterday, I had between-meal BG's around 105, and a couple of times felt slightly light headed, and slightly "feverish" , so re-checked my BG. It was a very slight sensation so I dismissed it.
