Anybody see O'Reilly tonight?12 Aug 2005 14:24 GMT13
He had a segment on Kevin Trudeau's "Natural Cures" book.
One of the guys (the one _not_ representing Trudeau) was spot on:
The book doesn't really tell you how to cure anything.

I've just been diagnosed with diabetes. I have to take Metformin and Altace.
Two hours after taking the Altace this morning, my T worsened big time. Tried to go to bed
tonight and woke up 30 minutes later, my T was/is very bad.  Started panicking, hot
flashes, seeing no end,....... ...
WAS T1 and T2 differences12 Aug 2005 10:06 GMT6
the post is like diabetes in a nutshell, real good, I think. Still, as
a T2 only on insulin I cannot help adding a few thoughts ;-)
I’ve been diagnosed for 15 years, and my endo told me on my first
visit, that my kidneys looked like I had drunken 10-15 litres a day

I completely understand the incredible impact of Diabetes on the lives
of its victims and their families, but in order to gain victory against
it we need to know the truths. Truth #1 is that maintaining good health
is critical. I'm sure everyone here can admit that without good ...
T1 vs T212 Aug 2005 02:41 GMT7
I am not ashamed to admit I am not an expert in diabetes.
I have been looking into how long some T1's have to deal with
their diabetes and feel so sorry for those that get it at a very young age
or even older.
Question about Medicare11 Aug 2005 22:23 GMT24
Does anyone know how often Medicare pays for a meter? I use an accucheck and
it broke and I asked the pharmacy who supplies my oxygen and diabetic
supplies and they said Medicare only pays for one once every 5 years. I
always thought it was yearly.
Couple of questions concerning food11 Aug 2005 22:19 GMT20
Tuesday I'll be getting my glucose meter.  The other day my pharmacist let me know that
he'd help me choose a glucose meter.  Since I don't know much about anything that's
diabetes, I thought about asking you guys: what would be a good choice?  In order of
importance for me would be ...

Going hypo at 100 BG? Is this even possible? 11 Aug 2005 16:15 GMT78
Something odd has been happening to me yesterday and today.
Yesterday, I had between-meal BG's around 105, and a couple of times
felt slightly light headed, and slightly "feverish" , so re-checked my
BG. It was a very slight sensation so I dismissed it.
