Anodyne Therapy15 Aug 2005 00:03 GMT4
I finished the 12 25-minute sessions of Anodyne Therapy.  It was supposed to
help the peripheral Neuropathy in my hands and feet.  It didn't help any
that I can determine.   Me, Medicare and the insurance company are out big
bucks.   - Jimmie

Carb confusion14 Aug 2005 18:40 GMT11
When I was diagnosed as T2 about 18 months ago, I asked the nurse about
diet, as you would.
"Just follow the advice on the Diabetes Now website and in the many recipe
books available, and read these leaflets" was her reply.

I am newly-diagnosed Type II and now have two different meters. When I was
hospitalized I was given an Accu-Chek Advantage and have been using that for
the past month. Today I attended my first diabetes education class and was
given a Bayer Ascensia. Ease of use is apples and ...
Horrible / Funny Story from diagnosis day14 Aug 2005 14:42 GMT20
Since I've come out of lurking here, I might as well post my best
diabetes related story.
This following story made me about the most angry I've ever been in my
life.  But in hindsight, it's actually really funny.
A small and unhappy tale......14 Aug 2005 12:33 GMT72
Hi friends,
I took a little road trip this week with my brother to another state, 3

her eighties and in good weight and good control, when she had a series of
Diabetic Shoes14 Aug 2005 07:41 GMT14
I know some of you use these... I was looking
for pump supplies and came across this site.
Not sure how reputable... BUT they were pretty
resonable if you need to pay for them yourself.

Noobie Type 2 needs advice13 Aug 2005 19:21 GMT71
I use a Lifescan One Touch Ultra, and the label on the test solution says it
should be discarded after three months.  The test solution I have is more
than three months old.  Despite the warning, the test solution gives results
that are within the "okay" range for the test strips ...

Low before noon numbers13 Aug 2005 17:57 GMT3
My BG numbers have been pretty consistant in the morning afternoon and evening....averaging 5.8 - 6.2, however, on most days I drop down to  3.8 - 4.2 prior to noon. It does not make much of a difference whether I eat a high carb breakfast or low carb/high protein breakfast, ...
