Delurk and hello24 Aug 2005 08:24 GMT36
I've been lurking here on and off for around 18 months, and like so
many I've gained an awful lot of useful advice and information but
have never posted.
I was diagnosed some two years ago as a T2, with some pretty nasty BG
re:Anyone ever try Noni Juice?24 Aug 2005 02:31 GMT5

for several years. He claims that it keeps his blood sugar in check.
When he stops drinking it, he says his blood sugar goes up to around
140 to 150.
Neuropathy24 Aug 2005 02:27 GMT2
I went to my regular MD today for the usual bloodwork etc.  It usually
takes about a week or so to get the results back.  Found out today that
I've lost sensation on the bottoms of my feet.  I don't have my updated
numbers yet but I was wondering if now is the time to start ...

Man goes to an ADA doctor.
Man: Doc, my head hurts when I hit it with a hammer.
ADA Doctor: (writing a prescription)

after meal testing23 Aug 2005 22:32 GMT8
Can anyone out there explain the anomaly I've experienced tonight. One hour
after my meal my BG reading was a certain figure. An hour later, when I
expected it have fallen, it had in fact risen by about half a point (mmol
reading). I had a cup of milk coffee (no sugar) after the ...

Insulin Pumps23 Aug 2005 13:02 GMT51
I've been a diabetic for about a year now, and been on injections. my blood
sugars are pretty stable (4.0 - 10), but sometime they do go high.
I just wanted to know what are your views on insulin pumps. Are they worth
the trouble? Are they better than MDI? Can they be dangerous ...
Odd things that don't spike me23 Aug 2005 12:50 GMT39
Ok, this is confusing but there are a couple of snack foods that don't
spike me even though AFAIK they probably should have. I'm a
diet-controlled T2.
The list so far is: A packet of crisps, a bar of milk chocolate and choc
Transplant Cure?23 Aug 2005 06:02 GMT30
In reading Gretchen Becker's book, she did make a mention of a pancreas
transplant to cure Diabetes, but it was in an off hand remark, and I'm
unsure if she was totally serious. Do people really have pancreas
transplants to cure diabetes? Not that I'd contemplate such a move, ...
Yet another newbie at the clinic.23 Aug 2005 04:55 GMT14
I got a letter from the doc's asking me to go to their DM clinic this week.
As my last appointment at my usual clinic was cancelled, I went. Bit of a
mistake as it happens.
I'm sat opposite a very nice young lady who, unfortunately, has already been

Has anyone tried Noni juice?
Is there anything redeeming enough about it to warrant enduring the
Gawd Awful taste?!?
