I'm faced with having to make a decision on whether or not to take Medicare part B. I'm already in the VA medical system getting benefits as a veteran. Anyone care to offer info and/or opinions? Peter G.

| OT computer virus | 22 Feb 2005 04:33 GMT | 33 |
I have a virus or something on my computer. It keeps opening an empty IE window addressed to "http://ads.dealhelper.com". It comes up sometimes when I am using Outlook and every few seconds when I'm using IE. I tried doing a virus scan, I with Norton Antivirus, it didn't help.

Hi all! I saw a message posted in this group where someone was asking about nutritional content of fast food. So I thought that a few people here might be interested in my web project, DietFacts.com. I've been working on it for almost ten years, ever since my father was diagnosed

| OT Memo to the Petz | 22 Feb 2005 01:50 GMT | 24 |
Dear Dog or Cat, When I say to move, it means go someplace else, not switch positions with each other so there are still two of you in the way. The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The

| Free test meter | 22 Feb 2005 00:52 GMT | 24 |
I hope I don't get accused of spamming but people often post messages and complain about the cost of meters. People that have had diabetes a long time know their main objective is to sell strips. This ad was in my diabetes magazine Diabetes Forecast in case they ask. I got a free ...

| Wound care | 22 Feb 2005 00:07 GMT | 2 |
Ok. This is only peripherally related to the group, but I don't know where to ask. About a week ago, I received a nasty gash on my ankle. It was about 1/16" deep, about 1/4" wide and an inch long. To me it was borderline. A bit bigger and I would have seen my doctor.

| What does this mean? | 21 Feb 2005 21:43 GMT | 46 |
I am new to this, so hope that I'm not breaking any rules with my post. I am 39, and a mother of five (13, 11, 9, 6, and 1). I am not currently overweight and I exercise regularly. I was only diagnosed with gestational diabetes in my second and fifth pregnancies, but my first ...

Hello again all, I have been diligently taking my readings 2 hours pp several times a day and am still experimenting with foods. I find that I am averaging readings of 5.7 (103) to 6.7 (121). I have had the odd reading at about 7.0 (126) but I

| Hypo at school | 21 Feb 2005 19:18 GMT | 62 |
I had another hypo at school today. It was my own fault, I had my lunch and insulin dose figured out. After I injected and ate most of my lunch I found out the inside of my apple was mostly yucky brown. I only ate one bite of it. I figure I was 20 carbs short for my lunch without ...
