The next day04 Feb 2005 14:04 GMT12
Well is the morning after. Just did my first test of the day and it
was 6.3 mmol/L ( 113 mg/dL ) but looking at the last week, my first
week of testing, it has been as high as 16.8 mmol/L ( 302 mg/dL ) and
as low as 5.3 (95) so I can see that it is really out of control.

via a newsgroup post. They pretend to be benign, but ...

I have 2 kids - an almost 5 year old and 6 month old and I can't seem to

testing 3 times a day, but I'm lucky if I can get one in.  I had great
control while pregnant, but now it's all gone to pot - my last ...

Lasagne04 Feb 2005 04:00 GMT11
Just had another go at lasagne, as we were discussing it a while back. I
made a family-sized one with one corner with only one layer of pasta - the
rest had 3. The mix was a standard beef mince/tinned
tomatoes/onions/garlic/celery/carrot/oregano one, and I made the sauce with

I don't use it yet, but it does lurk in the background of my future.
I wonder how realistic this finding really is.

Cholesterol Results...04 Feb 2005 00:54 GMT1
Well in my seemingly constant battle against extremely high cholesterol I
have some results of my recent blood test.
Total cholesterol was 10 (down from 18 only a month earlier).
HDL was 1.38

purple veggies04 Feb 2005 00:29 GMT8
Dinner last night was a beef/carrot/mushroom/onion casserole with curly
kale, spinach, and white & purple baby cauliflower. I'd never even seen
purple cauli before, much less eaten any, so an hour after eating, I
tested: 13.4!! A half-hour's brisk walking brought it down to 6.8, so

seen a list of links posted here in the past.
If someone has the time it would be good
if a list of links and references was posted
