Dietary Cholesterol02 Jun 2004 09:42 GMT3
X-posted to a.s.d and m.h.d.
There have been a few posts lately on cholesterol levels, and the
relative importance of dietary cholesterol, fats and carbs in causing
high blood cholesterol levels.
Good news for chocaholics02 Jun 2004 09:01 GMT5
Not only does dark choc not spike you as much as milk choc, but it's good
for you as well!

Vintage brand Fruit Refreshers02 Jun 2004 06:17 GMT2
I don't know if you can get this beverage in your area, but if you can, I
highly recommend the cranberry flavor.  It's sweetened with Splenda, has no
carbs and tastes just like cranberry juice.  I tried two other flavors and I
thought those were pretty lame.  I think those were ...
AM Carbs-Metformin-Dawn Phen.02 Jun 2004 05:38 GMT1
I'm beginning to think that my high morning bgs may be better handled by
Metformin if I have say 20 grams of carbs at breakfast instead of 0 grams.
With 0 grams of carbs in the AM, Metformin seems not to make a dent, even
with my dose of Glipizide.

I've improved my diet & excercise program to the point
that I no longer need ANY diabetes meds! I've lost 60
pounds and my last A1C was 5.9. So, to help the less
fourtunate, I'm giving away my leftover diabetes supplies.
Type II and Crestor02 Jun 2004 02:11 GMT1
Has anyone who takes Crestor for hyperlipidemia noticed that fasting BG is

PRODUCTS WITH STEVIA02 Jun 2004 01:24 GMT18
Since Nospamme seems to be having a problem naming any commercial food
products that contain stevia as she stated I have done a little
looking about myself.  I happened to run across this little bit of
information and although a bit dated I think is still current.
Insulin Overdose02 Jun 2004 00:51 GMT38
My 15 year old son has just been put on insulin. I'm worried that he might
overdose on insulin one day with his mood swings. What does it take to
overdose to the point of going into a coma? He weighs over 300 pounds.
American diets02 Jun 2004 00:38 GMT26
Nothing wrong with American food.  A lot is wrong with the
marketing of it.   Some of you need to see parts of the world with
the other diets.  What we have is a easily led people.

Need a new pair or a couple of Harry Potter frames for my
glasses.  Want me to go back to Hogwart without them.
I smashed them whilst looking into the telescope and was hit
Oatcakes and mashed potatoes01 Jun 2004 17:45 GMT26
I'm trying to reconcile what my BG meter is telling me with what I
read about glycemic index and diabetes. I'm using a meter because I
suspect I'm pre-diabetic.
I can eat a meal including mashed potatoes (e.g. shepherd's pie) and
Newbie question01 Jun 2004 17:25 GMT9
