My thanks to old AL  (and others) for his advice about policosanol,
cholesteral et al.  I was using Rexall policosanol and it WASN'T working so
I have now ordered some from I HERB and will give it another go.  They state
the octocosanol content to be 60%.  Meanwhile can anyone think ...

I have been taking lantus at night for about 2 years. I also take humalog 2 or
3 times a day before meals, amount depends on what my bg is and what I am going
to eat. I know the lantus wears off after about 20 hours as I have done some
fairly intensive studying of my bg levels.

1.  If you're going to eat a bunch of carbs, rather than sink into a
