Is it possible to buy <10 ml vials of insulin?26 Jan 2004 17:22 GMT2
It seems like a waste to be throwing away this bottle of
Humalog. I opened it 28 days ago though so I guess it's
almost time.. but it's still mostly full.
I am on meds, but am supposed to take insulin if my bg

I PASSED MY EMT STATE EXAM!!!!! Hopefully I will be transferring to Western
Carolina's 4-year EMS program (bachelors degree) in the near future. WCU is the
only school in NC that has that, and one of 15 in the country. My choices are
limited. I'm currently in my community college's ...
"frequent urination"26 Jan 2004 16:52 GMT8
In an effort to reduce my BG reading I started cutting carbs about
12/01/2003.
Back then and until recently, I made about 5 or 6 trips to the bathroom each
night to pee.  Last night my sleep was interrupted to pee only once!
Horizon BBC 2 Atkins26 Jan 2004 16:41 GMT5
Any opinions on the BBC2 programme about the Atkins diet last night? I
didn't see it as I was out womanizing, or trying to, anyway. :-) But, I
would be interested in opinions...
The programme was asking why the diet works (note, not *if* it works,
Non-diabetic child bg...26 Jan 2004 09:50 GMT10
My daughter has been weeing a bit more than usual and in the absence of any
obvious infection signs I did a bg test on her finger.  Bear in mind she
hasn't eaten since lunch at 1.30 and all our drinks are sugar free she has a
bg of 10.7 which is higher than I would expect.
question for pumpers26 Jan 2004 07:07 GMT11
I went to the endo today.  Of course, the pump issue came up again.  As most
of the pumpers here know, I have been doing some serious hemming and hawing,
fence sitting, and foot dragging on the whole pumping issue.  Anyway, my
endo said that my sugars are too erratic, I am too ...
newbie question - when will i be able to see again?!?26 Jan 2004 04:13 GMT12
This is my first post here.. just dx'd 2 wks ago,
type II. My BG then was over 500. I've since
gotten it down, it's now ranging between
120 - 150, and I'm sure it will go lower.
OT:  Did she have a plan?26 Jan 2004 03:13 GMT11
G'day G'day Folks,
An elephant briefly escaped from a zoo.  The facts as best we can
ascertain them are that a female elephant rolled a 200 kg (440 lb) log
through a high voltage security fence. The rolling log shorted out the

It is my opinion, and like your opinion,
i would defend your right to have one.

OT- F-Secure AV Followup25 Jan 2004 23:32 GMT4
I asked before if anyone had tried F-Secure AV, and I guess nobody did.
Just a follow up, I decided to give it a bid yesterday when I was noting
some odd behavior. Online connection was busy working when it shouldn't be,
shutdown was taking longer that it should, Dls taking longer. ...

Ping - Quentin Re: Inflammation Syndrome25 Jan 2004 22:36 GMT13
Hi, Quentin
A few  months or so ago, you brought up the topic of the Inflammation
Syndrome which I later found to be a new book by Jack Challem who also
authored Syndrome X.
Accu Chek Compact Meter25 Jan 2004 20:59 GMT8
I use the Compact meter.  I'm having some serious problems with the
unit.  The switch does not turn the machine on.  Very intermittent.
Roche replaced the meter already, but the problem persists.  Sometimes
you have to press the darn thing 20 times to activate the darn thing.
Carb Blockers25 Jan 2004 20:31 GMT25
Has anyone tried any of the card blockers available in the diet section???   I
don't need to lose any weight but,  Blocking some carbs would really help since
I'm having a hard time giving up pizza, pasta and rice (my main food groups
till I found out I was T2 last summer).
