Atkins obese?27 Jan 2004 16:53 GMT62
I don't know if he was obese, but he died very rich.
The info he provided was available from many sources
and his many items are available from common
sources at much lower prices.  Fads come and go.

Hello everyone.  I'm new to new group, looking for some help...

I use the Reli-on brand from Wal-Mart which cost about $ .43 per strip - I

No Sugar Added27 Jan 2004 02:30 GMT12
There is a lot of misinformation about the term "No Sugar Added"  floating
around here methinks. All it means is that they have no *additional* sugar
added to what is already included in the product. Doesn't mean the product
has no sugar, or is low sugar. Still gotta check the carbs ...

Ahhh!  A couple of months ago my A1c was 6.7, with 6.5 being the "new norm".
Today, the word is it's 5.5.  My highest A1c was 13.  Ouch!.
The Amaryl was decreased from 4mg to 2mg in the morning, as of today.
If I were a pup, my name would be Snoopy - and I'd be DAAAAAAANC`IIING!

G'day G'day Folks,
Many people see low GI as replacing considerations concerning fibre
intake.  While it is true that higher fibre content often produces a
low GI there are other ways to arrive at lower GI even when dealing
reduced carb/low GI bread26 Jan 2004 21:43 GMT2
Baking was my speciality and I've made almost all our bread for years,
so I've been working on developing a bread that will fit my diet. I'm
interested in a heavy whole grain bread (that can be cut thin); if you
want a light bread there is an approach that uses vital wheat gluten ...

Atkins cured my changing vision problem26 Jan 2004 19:07 GMT13
I can only assume that I was pre - T2 diabetic as I never went to the
doctor.  But the symptoms of this sweets addict were blurred vision
and changing vision thruout the day.  I went for glasses and the eye
doctor only looked puzzled when I told her about the vision changing
