I keep looking for low carb and/or artificially sweetened snacks. Stuff sweetened with maltitol and the like is hell on my digestive system. Anyone found some tasty snacks you can munch while watching a movie or the like that are low carb and taste great?

Since I became diabetic circa 1996, my hands have become painfully dry and cracked every winter. There will even be some minor bleeding because the cracks are so deep. And large callouses form over the open wounds.

Two days before my hba1c i have a small plate of chips, 4 sausages and some peppers ... 2 hours after eating 13.8!!!!!!!!!!! 8u of NR and 1 hour later back to 10, i will do 80 pushups before bed to make sure it stays down. Must have just been a freak reading ... however unlike ...

After 32 years of being type I, found out that if you inject the needle straight in with with a quick jerk, it's virtually painless. I also shoot the insulin in slowly and evenly and that has made injections less painful.

T2 on Lantus and Novorapid.... I know I should vary my Novorapid doses based on my sugar levels but how do you know if you are on the right dose of Lantus.... I have been on insulin for about 2 months and started on 14u of Lantus.
