Does anyone know why BG levels go up during illnesses and monthly periods?
And stress can make it go either way, right?  What would be going on?  Why
wouldn't the body be as effective at using the insulin during those times?

At what point would I want to locate an Endocrinologist? What would a
typical visit be like? And how often does one see their endo?

Anybody know what the normal time is to be reimbursed for diabetic supplies
from Medicare? I was originally dx'ed on Nov 13 and my local pharmacy sold
me the Ultra test meter and strips which came to around $200. I now realize
I could have gone to Walmart but at the time was not ...

As always, my resolution has always been to lose weight.  This year is
no different.  I have just signed up for the nutri system plan.  I dont
know too much about it.  I asked some information about the carbs and
they say the meals are from 21 to 35 carbs or so.  Has anyone been on

My company is changing ppo providers from BCBS to Aetna, Does anybody out
there use them? How is there coverage on meds and equipment stack up against
the some of your coverage?

Charly - Do you happen to know anything about the minimed/medicare
program for over 65 where medicare rents the pump for the patients use
for 15 months afterwhich the user is given the option to buy or rent?
I have been using a 508 for 10 months and must make the decision to buy
