have never once allowed diabetes to run my life, but ...
OT Newman's Own Pop's Corn08 Jan 2004 19:09 GMT6
I can't remember now who said they ate this stuff, but I bought some to take
with me on our last trip to PA.  I normally pop plain popcorn in olive oil
at home, but this stuff looked a lot more portable and it has no trans-fats.
I did not buy the lightly salted kind that the poster ...

alt.support.diabetes08 Jan 2004 18:11 GMT37
I did a google search on alt.support.diabetes and found some interesting
material. Someone named Rick Mendosa seems to have a corner on the group,
his english is atrocious and he seems to have too many rules too.
It is also mentioned that alt-support-diabetes is the OFFICIAL website ...
A Note for Us Newbies08 Jan 2004 16:43 GMT4
When I sign a post with my full signature, I would sometimes add the link
http://www.alt-support-diabetes.org/newly%20diagnosed.htm .  ( Now I just use
the link  http://www.alt-support-diabetes.org ).  Here's why.
Dropping by the above web site this evening, I realized I was missing ...
Anxiety/Depression associated with high blood sugar?08 Jan 2004 16:04 GMT20
Does/did anyone here experience any kind of anxiety (generalized anxiety,
social anxiety, phobias) or depression in relation to their diabetes/blood
sugar levels? I've read some studies that have said people with diabetes
have higher cases of generalized anxiety disorder, depression ...
Lantus08 Jan 2004 16:04 GMT3
I've been lurking for a week or so and I'd appreciate some advice from you
kind folks.
Would those of you who use Lantus recommend it, apart from the dodgy pens? I
had a diabetes nurse pitch it at me as the cure for all ills, which made me
Maggie Davey and success08 Jan 2004 13:53 GMT2
Maggie m'dear,
Don't put yourself down. You succesfully lost 19 kilos already, and still
losing, so you don't need advice on D&E, you are entitled to GIVE advice on
D&E.

PBS Frontline on FDA on again now!08 Jan 2004 04:08 GMT1
The local PBS WCEU in Florida has that piece about drug safety on right now.
I posted this about a month ago after I watched it the first time.  So

Will be PO'd after the FDA vote near the end of the report.  Oh well,

Did anyone else see this Fred Anderson on this morning's Early Show?
I'm very happy for this guy that he managed basically to turn his life
around -- quite a feat.  However, he claims, and his doctor ...

Metformin XR08 Jan 2004 00:15 GMT2
My glucophage XR refill arrived from $MailOrderPharm, and they filled it
with "Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release" at NO co-pay!  Naturally, I
called to find out why somebody not known for doing favors had done this:
They have an incentive plan to get people to use generics, ...
Congrats to me07 Jan 2004 23:57 GMT9
Gotta be careful not to sprain my shoulder from patting myself on the back.
Got through the ThanXmas-New Year holidays without smoking. It was my
first real test since going weedless Sept. 26 (I'll never forget that date).
Just beginning to psychologically accept Not Smoking ...
Mr. Scott's diet advice, was amyloid Plaque in diabetes.07 Jan 2004 22:44 GMT13
