Had to stop by drug store to get some glucose tablets. The large displays of diabetic and diet materials is amazing. I guess the reason is not to help diabetics but to make money.

I think we need to step back and put things into perspective. Complications are NOT inevitable even for the worst offenders. Some people run high BG as indicated with A1c's over 7.0.....8.0...etc and do not suffer complications, not that I would suggest any gamble here.
