Has anyone had any success on the atkins diet on lowering blood sugar.
My wife and I have just started it today and I was hoping to be able
to get off all of my medications by using the guidelines prescribed in
the book.
A1c Test Kit Recommendations15 Jan 2004 17:41 GMT6
I've discovered so many A1c test kits on the market that I thought I'd see
how this group has sorted through all the choices. Many seem to be online
orders and not readily available in a drug store like the regular glucose
test kit. All thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated.

Her bs is starting to bounce up again (was 154 this am).  She's been low

that I would really know what I should have been feeling. Didn't

Cocoa, tea, red wine benefits - avoid adding milk 15 Jan 2004 05:09 GMT5
There have been several articles on research noting the benefits of the
flavanol content in cocoa, tea, and red wine in lowering heart disease
risk.  In two independent articles it was noted that when milk was added
to tea or was part of a chocolate food, the beneficial flavanol

I suggest finding someplace where you can try some of the vast types of
green and other Chinese style teas.  Just like wine or beer there is a
whole universe of teas that are not commonly known based only what is
usually available on super market shelves.  I'm a tea lover and have ...
BG level for diabetic diagnosis15 Jan 2004 02:09 GMT12
Until recently, the BG limit for diagnosing diabetes was 125, according to my
old blood test printouts.  During my latest physcal, my doc told me that the
diagnosis level has now been changed to 109; ie, above 109 you are at least
pre-diabetic or insulin resistant.  Is this true?  ...

I'm a T1 diabetic for nearly a year. I use Novomix 30 pens twice a day. 6

dinner 5-7 and before bed as 7-8. Have a snack before ...

As I read, my thoughts14 Jan 2004 22:09 GMT12
More mad rambling
Today the many diets are simply a attempt to get on
the gravy train.  The real info can be had for free
So many think they can reach the absolute  truth.
