Has anyone had any success on the atkins diet on lowering blood sugar. My wife and I have just started it today and I was hoping to be able to get off all of my medications by using the guidelines prescribed in the book.

I've discovered so many A1c test kits on the market that I thought I'd see how this group has sorted through all the choices. Many seem to be online orders and not readily available in a drug store like the regular glucose test kit. All thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated.

I'm posting about a friend, trying to learn, understanding the possible complications of diabetes has me concerned that she be as healthy as possible. Her bs is starting to bounce up again (was 154 this am). She's been low carbing for 3+ months and it hasn't effected her numbers ...

Until recently, the BG limit for diagnosing diabetes was 125, according to my old blood test printouts. During my latest physcal, my doc told me that the diagnosis level has now been changed to 109; ie, above 109 you are at least pre-diabetic or insulin resistant. Is this true? ...
