Hi all f17 Jan 2004 15:51 GMT3
Hi All this is Barry from Melbourne Australia, has anybody found that your
BG levels decrease quiie substantially, when you absorb extra fibre. I was
having trouble with my morning levels when I awoke, even though they were
considered good when I went to bed. Now I have a good glass ...
Dog superiour to body language experts17 Jan 2004 15:46 GMT15
G'day G'day Folks,
So we are told that something is so when really its an
interpretation.   To many body language experts folded arms are a sign
of being closed off, non-receptive.

BG Meter Recommendations?17 Jan 2004 14:22 GMT3
I'm newly diagnosed with T2 and need to purchase a BG meter.
I would appreciate any recommendations on which device I should buy.
I am interested in the kind that allows one to test on forearms
instead of finger tips, assuming that type is sufficiently accurate.
FYI: The Ugly Side Insulin Resistance17 Jan 2004 13:35 GMT5
In my search to learn more about liver glucose and how it functions relative
to dietary glucose, I found this study (yes, another study) but thought this
excerpt was worth passing along.

Wal-Mart meter17 Jan 2004 12:45 GMT2
In the current "diabetes Interview" magazine they review or survey most
hardware that gets sold to us diabetics.  As part of that is a long list
of meters that are available.
The Wal-Mart meter is included in this list, but I noticed that they
Gretchen Becker's diabetes book17 Jan 2004 07:57 GMT19
My computer crashed about 2 weeks ago, so I took that opportunity to reread
her 2 books: Stop Diabetes and The First year, Type 2 Diabetes.  I've read a
lot of books about diabetes that I got from the library, but these are the
only 2 I've bought, and rereading them made me remember ...
Plasma Vs Whole Blood Data17 Jan 2004 05:03 GMT24
Wouldn't it be pertinent for people posting bg measurements to also disclose
if their meter is giving a whole blood or blood plasma reading? Since  lab
standards are plasma based, their readings will tend to be higher than whole
blood reading for the same sample (example: a whole ...
Protonix and blood glucose17 Jan 2004 03:34 GMT22
Hi ---wonder if anyone  taking the proton-inhibitor Protonix for GERD
has experienced any wild BG readings?  Like higher a.m. numbers; fairly
good 2 Hr. PP, ( 117) but then an unexpectedly high 178 at the 3 hr.
mark.
Cocoa protects against coronary events.17 Jan 2004 03:26 GMT24
G'day G'day Folks,
Who knows, it might not be long before the cocoa or even the
chocolate you buy has its flavanol content listed on the packet.

Dog BG tests17 Jan 2004 01:00 GMT11
I have a Pug that is quite overweight. He has been drinking
a lot more water lately. I was wondering if it is possible
to test his BGs.  If so, where would I lance him to get the
drop of blood? What are normal BGs for dogs?

Low carb bandwagon16 Jan 2004 23:53 GMT7
Hi all.  I'm enjoying the recent boom in products and awareness of  lower
carb diets.  However low carb isn't low calorie.  I'm remembering the low
fat craze of 10-15 years ago.  People would eat whole boxes of Snackwell
products because they thought they were good for you!  The ...
