I was told by another diabetic at my retirement breakfast recently that the Navy is calling in all QID meters and switching to the Precision Extra I didn't get a notice as I am being treated at the VA now.

There has been a few write up in the local mags about Chromium Supplements and what they can or cant do for diabetics - My Diabetic Doctor tells me, they are useless, but it seems they are popular in the States - Why is this so. Any comments?

I just noticed a special chemistry test for Homocysteine on my latest test report. My level was 10.28 umol/L in a range of 3.4 - 13.8. I called the doctor's office and asked a PA about this test.

Which is the fastest way to lower high blood sugar? I checked it at 2:45pm & it was 86. Around 3:30pm I got a severe headache. By 6:30pm head was still hurting, some pains in chest, clammy sweat, & some nausea. Checked my bg at 6:35pm and it was 254. I had already taken my ...

My mother is suffering from peripheral neuropathy and is affecting her hands and feet. Anybody have some experience to share? Is there any effective drugs or herbs for this problem? Please help.

Is there such a thing as a reverse placebo effect? I suspect one reason my blood pressure pills don't work is my negative attitude toward them. I assume they won't work, so they don't.

Dr. Gabe Mirkin, in his new book, "The Healthy Heart Miracle : Your Roadmap to Lifelong Health" says diabetes complications can be avoided if Hba1c is kept under 6. He says he's treated 100's of diabetics successfully. Good read.

Hi Everbody, I.m a new reader to this newsgroup. My question is, a friend has told me that Cinnamon taken daily can reduce the blood sugar reading by up to 20%. I am sceptical, I have not heard or seen this before. Any comments. Roger

Hey all, I was diagnosed a little over a month ago with T2, immediately began low-carbing and taking meds and after first week of testing, my numbers dropped into good range 80-110 and have stayed there ever since.
