I just checked the South Beach Diet book out of the library.  As I was
skimming through it, it seemed reasonable and I thought I might be able to
use some of his ideas in my food plan.  But it lost all credibility on page
69.

All week my morning BG's have been the usual 6.7 [113] or thereabouts
but today - well before I go on to that, here is what I consumed in
the last 24 hours.

soap, Holby City I think it was. It ends with someone saying in
dramatic tones so as to raise your interest in the next episode, that

I use Lantus, Novolog (a fast-acting insulin with a peak at 80 mins),
and just recently added Novolin-R (regular human insulin) to my
arsenal.  Experience with the fast-acting suggests that it usually
works well in small doses (1 - 2 units at a time in my case) to cover

Greetings from Singapore.
I have been diagnosed 2 months back to have got diabetes. Tough.
Initially my bg was at 12.5 mmol/L (225 mg/dl) after overnight fast.
Its currently at 5.5 mmol/L (100 mg/dl). That's after a tough regime of diet

A big Thank you to all of you who replied to my post wishing me luck with my
eye operation yesterday.
The deed has been done so I now have nearly 5,000 burns to my right eye.My
sight has slightly been reduced and there are a few more dots to look at now
