Hope someone can help me.  I was diagnosed diabetic about 2 years
ago and according to my A1c, have been under pretty good control.
About 6 months ago, I noticed that when I sat at my desk that my big
left toe would begin to feel as if it were going to sleep.  It was

OK, I did it and I am now using my 17" monitor. I just plugged it in
and turned it on. When it got to the DOS screen during boot up it said
something about an unknown device click this or that....I guessed and
clicked that....when it got to the opening screen it updated my

This morning I decided to have one third of one of the low carb muffins
I bought from QVC,   It is supposed to contain 22 carbs for the whole
muffin
Before having the muffin I tested 115   I ate one third which is about 7

I had a hell of a time with one of my fingers for about 8 months before
I had surgery this past spring.  The doctor said it's really common with
diabetics. He said he has had patients who have had surgery on all their
fingers!

Why do vegetables have more carbohydrates in them when they are cooked?
I would have thought that the total amount of anything in a food would
be the same - how does adding heat and water increase it?
For example, a raw eggplant has 5g/cup, but cooked it's 9g/cup.

cortisol is lowering for the winter months since activity levels will be

My insulin requirements tend to go up hourly in the evenings and don't start
to drop until after breakfast the next day (and are very low during the
afternoon and early evening .Fortunately, I am on the pump and I can adjust
the hourly basal rates. Does anyone experience this ...
