Trying to explain my point of view10 Oct 2003 12:48 GMT27
this is addressed to all you asd ng police out there (you won't admit it
but you know who you are).  I guess it time i posted my position so you
can try to argue against it.
I am basically an ng lurker, I agree that i don't yet have much useful
Re: BG of 36 but feel okay?10 Oct 2003 06:15 GMT1
I would want to first exclude a bad reading.  On some machines if there is
not enough blood on the strip the reading can be falsely low, on other
machines using a different technology not enough gives a too high reading.
Most strips have an area which must be filled, or turn a ...

Stress & Diabetes10 Oct 2003 04:30 GMT5
I am 18 years old, and a type 1 diabetic (diagnosed on my 17th B-day). I have
written in to this group before, but its been a looooooooong time. Anyway, I
started college about two months ago (Emergency Medical Science), and love it.
It was strange because when I started school, ...
Has Anyone Ever Used Penlac?10 Oct 2003 04:29 GMT14
I have a fungus on/under a toe nail on my left foot.  The top part of
the toe nail is "very white" and has thickened up.  Has anyone ever had
a fungus like this and were you prescribed the med Penlac Nail Lacquer
for it?  If so, how long did it take for it to clear up?
OT:-  One of the signs of a dedicated troll10 Oct 2003 04:28 GMT9
There are different ways of spotting a troll.
One of them is, that no matter how many times you kill-file them,
they keep popping back up with a new addy and/or nick.
The latest one just confirmed my suspicions.
Woke up to 94 this morning.10 Oct 2003 04:28 GMT12
After all this months of BG that is too high when I wake up, on the day of
my Endo. appointment, I wake to 94.  I had really expected a high number
because I'm sick with a cold and got very little sleep last night.  Do you
know it is possible to sneeze and have the hiccups at the ...

testing10 Oct 2003 03:48 GMT12
I know this probably sounds outrageous, but I really want to know.  I
take two glucovance per day.  One in the morning and one at night.
Those are my instructions and it keeps my bg in tow.  So why do some
people test so much.  I'm really a greenie at this.  Even if my
Fellow diabetic worker won't test!10 Oct 2003 03:32 GMT14
My wife works with a man that is about 5'9" and probably at least 350
pounds and about 40 years of age. He is a type 2 diabetic. No surprise
there.
He tells her he doesn't test his BG because he can't stand to stick
Ping: Old Spook10 Oct 2003 03:04 GMT98
Today is the big day for our $10.00 bet on the recall Old Spook. If
Bustamante wins, I owe you. If Schwarzenegger wins, you owe me. If
neither one wins, the bet is off. In my case, if I win the bet (it could
happen but it doesn't mean I'm voting for either one of them) I want you
Medical ID Bracelets10 Oct 2003 02:55 GMT12
A friend of mine just got some enamel medical emblems with sticky
backs that are really nifty. They are called Lifetags.
Does anyone else have experience using Lifetags?

OT - food for thought.10 Oct 2003 01:25 GMT4
Trolling is a strange phenomena, well you might think so
but in fact it is quite a common behaviour pattern which
takes place every day in the real world. In the workplace,
social gatherings and on occasion when 'acquaintances'
