Fructose update10 Oct 2003 19:27 GMT12
G'day G'day Folks,
In the past I have expressed some strong opinions against high
fructose intake.  As I am wont to do, I like to re-examine my beliefs
and decide which ones need tossing out or repolishing and cherished.
Lifetags10 Oct 2003 19:16 GMT2

the center and the word "DIABETES".
The reason I prefer these over the standard bracelets is because I can

I stopped in a new grocery store today to check it out.  At the very end of
one of the frozen food aisles was a sign that said "healthy foods."  It just
struck me as funny that a store would call *some* of their foods "healthy."
What are the rest of the foods...unhealthy?  Even ...

The truth is I am old and dull.  Comes from

I'm thinking of going to the one here in Philadelphia on Nov. 8 and am
wondering whether or not it's time well spent.
Squeaking into 5% club10 Oct 2003 16:19 GMT10
Got my lab results today from 9/30 blood work:
HbA1c        5.9%
I was at 6.1% a year ago.  Then in late July, when diabetic retinopathy

BG *Lower* After Eating?10 Oct 2003 14:43 GMT5
I became diabetic in 2000, and just when I think I've figured it out,
something odd happens - like this evening.
I am on oral meds; Tolinase and Actos in the morning and another dose of
Tolinase late at night. Before dinner and my second round of meds, my BG

Hello, all.  Newly diagnosed 25-year-old male here.  For reference, 5'11",
235 lbs.  I don't know if I'm type 2 or type 1 (I'm presuming type 2 since
I'm not taking shots) because I don't see my usual doctor until Monday the
13th - it was the hospital that delivered the diagnosis.

Thanks,
Sleepy
