I have only been diagnosed for a few days, and I haven't been to Diabetes Education yet or had much time with a doctor. Jennifer's web site says, "Your meter is your best weapon." Responses to my other message here refer to the "meter", too.

Well it seem that he did not have another heart attack but collapsed as a result of massive fluid on the lungs. The specialists think it was caused by one of the medications he had been given for his heart condition. He has a weak heart

A diagnosed T2 diabetic on 2000 metformin bid, I'm thinking of self taking an OGTT to determine how atherogenic my condition may be. My HbA1c runs around 5.5. The problem is that my AM fasting glucose (120) always runs higher than my evening postprandial glucose (70-80).

Has anyone tried Rowntrees sugar free jelly, it delicious and only has 9 calories and 0.2gm of carbohydrate per serving. I can recommend the raspberry flavour (the only one I've tried :-) ). I found it lurking on the shelves in Tescos between the normal stuff
