Being flooded with virus laden emails again.

My doctor started me on actos in combination with glucophage (metformin) but
i've never heard of it before, my doctor says its safe and its used to make
the body more responsive to insulin.. but i was just wondering about

Had a real scare ( a good one) today ... had my usual lunch of salad and
chicken sarnie with sausage roll ( no crisps ) and tested before lunch, was
4.8 mmol/l. Shot 10 units of novorapid and wandered off to our warehouse to
move some wine around. Must have spent an hour or so ...

I've been intending to evaluate the effect of low carb bars on my BG
for a while, and finally got around to making one test.  I tried a bar
that claimed in big print to have only "2 effective carbs."  
Nutritional analysis was 230 Calories, 9gm fat (4 gm saturated), 20gm

I spent some time soaking in a hot tub last night. It helped
the pain in my lower back, but it made the neuropathy in my
feet worse. I had more tingling and pain after the soak than
I usually have. This lasted through the night.

I had my first diabetic podiatry appointment today, and it was utter
bliss to have my ghastly Kevlar toenails cut properly by someone else.
I'll be able to make the transition from sandals to winter shoes now.
The podiatrist said that my feet are fine.  There is a very slight loss

For those who think I don't listen I have news.
The company that supply my Nebulizer breathing treatment machine and
meds... now ...also has the diabetic testing strips and said they will
be happy to send those to me too along with my breathing treatments.

My DH has been take off of his B/P meds!!!  He has taken his belt in by FIVE
notches!!
To refresh your memory, he asked his Doc not to start him on diabetes meds
until he could try diet & exercise.  He is doing LC.  (Me too!)  We have

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am fine and I don't know anyone who
was on the ferry at the time of the accident.  At least I don't think anyone
I know was on there.  I do know many people who are stranded in Manhattan
