my doctor just started me on lantus, has anyone ever heard of or had any adverse reactions to it? my doctor put me on lantus and a sliding scale of insulin if my sugars are too high.

Anybody using this? DH just was prescribed this for deep leg pain. Supposedly it works well for diabetics with leg pain? Also for seizures. But doc won't say whether this will replace dilantin.

I thought I should send an update on my diagnosis. I went to the doctor Thursday afternoon. She confirmed that I am a Type 2, at least for now. I am still making a lot of insulin on my own, except I don't have much quick release insulin.
