I had a root canal done in an upper molar a couple of years ago - well after eating a meal at the weekend when I woke the next morning it felt as if some food had managed to get underneight it - the gum either side was swollen too.

I'm 70 years old and recently broke off the top portion of a root canal tooth with crown (Number 20). My dentist smoothed off the remaining tooth structure, did a buildup and inserted a post. Then, put on a new crown.

I posted here a couple months ago about a hard moveable bump on my upper gum. Since then I have been to two periodontists. They said it was "nothing to worry about". However, the burning and redness concerned me and still does.
