Returned from my dentist visit a few days ago after having an old crown replaced. He said the new one was stronger that the old one (porcelain?) as it "had some metal in it". I should have asked at the time and may have got this all wrong but:-

If you say their not i.e. chiropractic profession or those who look for relationships in teeth in the rest of the body are all quacks then where do you draw line i.e. at what point does a dentist who uses these methods become acceptable as opposed to just woo ?

Yes,dentists should know that inadequate blood sugar control appears to increase the chances of periodontal disease. So. if a dentist sees P.D. he should suggest the patient get tested for diabetes. makes sense doesn't it?
