My friends, it has been a bad year. My van broke down. Several friends have
left me. I was in love, but it didn't work out. The trailer needed repairs.
My computer finally failed, after so many years of use. The credit card
people are calling me, all hours of the day. It's getting ...
I think my teeth got worse after using teeth whitening04 Apr 2008 03:07 GMT1
this bizarre... I have used a product (no names here) for some month
and I have to tell you that it first seemed to work quite nice. Okay,
it's a bit uncomfortable to carry the blue light in the mouth but it
was alright. After some weeks of use I couldn't detect more whitening
Numb Tongue04 Apr 2008 03:02 GMT1
Had lidocaine and carbocaine, 3 separate times, as numbing was not
real effective at first for lower dental work. The next day (today), I
still have numbness on right side of tongue. Dentist said it will take
a few weeks for it to disappear, due to lingual nerve trauma.
Nomenclature for roots?03 Apr 2008 16:51 GMT1
I'm just curious: is there a system for naming the roots of teeth like
there is for the teeth themselves, or are roots just referred to by
their orientation within the gums?

Aborted Root Canal To much decay?03 Apr 2008 03:23 GMT1
First off I respect a professional opinion but I was bait and switched.
I asked for the guy who did my previous root canals and the let this other
guy perform one on my upper #16. I knew I was in trouble when he didn't
numb the nerve and started drilling. What a jackass. After ...

drills-- air or electric micromotor?02 Apr 2008 09:49 GMT8
I must confess; I'm actually using this for soft stone carving, for
the finest details where a chisel would just be foolhardy.  Hech, not
all that different from bone really-- more brittle, and granular, but
about the same hardness.
Bacteria at site of implant?01 Apr 2008 17:01 GMT1
This question may have been answered many times before, but how do you stop
bacteria from entering directly into the bone at the site of entry of the
titanium post?  As I understand it, the ligaments help do that with natural
teeth, but the ligaments are no longer there in an ...
Night guards vs. sports 'mouth guards' - yet another tedious question01 Apr 2008 11:33 GMT3
Hi all, after looking through previous posts and not seeing a very
direct answer, would like to know what a night guard accomplishes that
an inexpensive drugstore mouth guard doesn't for the general mild (or
more specifically, painless) case of bruxism. My dentist says
do implants *really* feel natural?01 Apr 2008 01:44 GMT22
It looks as though I may soon need an implant to replace a molar in my
lower jaw (the molar nearest the front of my mouth, on the left-hand
side).
Almost all the dentists' web-sites say that implants 'feel totally
Talking of Implants..............01 Apr 2008 01:30 GMT15
..........Whats the minimum a person can get away with, without the need for bridges, overdentures etc?
I had to have all my teeth out recently (all except the back 2 which were "unerupted" so weren't touched by dentist) and am finding
it hard to get along with these here dentures ...
