blister inside of cheek16 Mar 2008 16:34 GMT4
I have blister on the inside of my cheek.  It hits the eye tooth on
the bottom.  I've had it for about two weeks.  It is small and appears
to have a clear fluid inside.
It breaks and feels fine for a couple of days and then comes back.

Read the post on mis.kids.health and told the person to write to this group.
Concerns their child 18 months old with only 4 teeth.    What is the best
way to help, wait for parent to contact this group as I suggested, or some
kind dentist go to misc.kids.health .   Parent seems ...

Three years ago I had a Cerec onlay fitted on my left frontmost molar
(lower jaw) because the tooth had fractured. The dentist did not
remove all of the crack (my guess as a layman is that he didn't want
to go too near the pulp chamber, which would have meant RCT). Instead,
Open Wider: your wallet not your mouth10 Mar 2008 22:18 GMT22
I have reviewed the posts of the last few weeks.  Most of the
questions are good questions and show frustration on the part of
patients.  Three of us wrote a book, a consumer's guide to dentistry.
It is available on Amazon.com, search for "Open Wider."  Two of the
pulp cap10 Mar 2008 01:29 GMT18
I'm going in to have a large amalgam removed that has decay around the
edges.  The dentist put down root pulp cap on the estimate that he gave me
and that immediately got me to worrying.  I'm thinking, pulp cap, I've read
about them - root canals and painful teeth.
Patient anxiety09 Mar 2008 01:38 GMT3
Are dentists in a position to prescribe anxiety medication on an ongoing
basis?
I don't take anxiety medication, so I have no idea how they are prescribed
normally, but for patients who exhibit strong anxiety surrounding dental
Tooth extraction and salt water mouth rinse questions.09 Mar 2008 00:37 GMT6
I just had three wisdom teeth removed and it was recommended to rinse
my moth with a salt water solution. I have looked around and this
seems pretty common but I cant find any "Why" about this. What makes
this effective? Am I taking my fresh water mouth flora and putting

Depending on where you get dental healthcare, how would you rate your

or your dental clinic's responsiveness?..., your dental clinic's

clenching question08 Mar 2008 03:41 GMT11
I clench my teeth while I'm awake - not hard, it's just that it seems
to feel more natural to have my jaws together. Yet I've read that your
teeth shouldn't touch when you're not eating.
This raises a question. When I realise I'm clenching, I relax my jaw
how do I know if I'm a 'night clencher'?06 Mar 2008 13:16 GMT4
I've had two molars crowned because they were cracked, and may have
the symptoms of another cracked molar (all on my left side, BTW).
Doing a bit of research on this newsgroup, I've read that at least one
dentist believes that cracked teeth are nearly always the result of
Wash mouth with water after using ACT Fluoride rinse?05 Mar 2008 21:40 GMT8
My dentist recommended using ACT Fluoride rinse after brushing.  The
directions on the bottle say to swish the fluoride rinse in my mouth
for one minute and then spit out.  The directions then say to not eat
or drink for half an hour.  I'm wondering if it is ok to rinse my

Dental Fraud - I want my money back05 Mar 2008 16:33 GMT4
I read a prior post (Parents victims of dental fraud? What can be
done?), and have already begun to take the advice in that post by
going to the board of professionalism; however, they do not get
involved in battling for your money. I'll need to go to small claims
