to the dentists here25 Jun 2007 19:04 GMT6
I recently had to visit a dentist on an emergency basis, as I had lost some of a
filling on a back molar, and the gum had gotten sore and a little inflamed (this
was another dentist in the office of my old dentist, who had retired since I had
last seen him). The current dentist ...
posterior restoration25 Jun 2007 17:18 GMT5
ok fellow Docs.. just courious, what is "YOUR" preference of choice if
you had to have a fairly good sized restoration placed on a lower 1st
molar.
I would have to go with Gold inlay/onlay hands down..
Titan fillings25 Jun 2007 17:12 GMT31
I need some fillings. I have a choice between good old fashioned amalgam
and something called 'titan'; all i know about it is that name, the fact
that my dentist thinks it's more durable than amalgam, and that it will
cost me eighty-odd quid a tooth more than amalgam.

Toothache and Bleeding gums23 Jun 2007 03:56 GMT3
Tonight I had a toothache, so I did some flossing, and that caused the
gums around that tooth to start bleeding.  I think there was some food
stuck between the teeth for probably several days (I remember some
food got stuck around that area several days ago, and I thought I
One front tooth21 Jun 2007 13:56 GMT12
My 7 year old boy lost his front baby teeth earlier this year.
Now one of the adult teeth is growing well but thre is no sign
whatsoever of the other.
Is it usual for there to be such a discrepancy in growth rates?

Listerine and teeth19 Jun 2007 02:45 GMT7
I read somewhere that a good way to prevent or cure gingivitis is to
swish Listerine through your teeth once a day after you floss and brush.
 Is it really that effective?

Reset avulsed teeth - Need root canals?17 Jun 2007 13:45 GMT11
I got in an accident where by top two front teeth (central incisors)
got avulsed. They were not knocked out of my mouth, but they were in
pretty bad shape, crooked, and almost out of their sockets...
I went to the emergency room within an hour of the incident and they

of my wisdom teeth decades ago), and soon there after noticed that that same
