Amalgam Risk Assessment30 Apr 2007 16:58 GMT4
Amalgam, which has been in use in dentistry for 150 years, consists of
50 % elemental mercury and a mixture of silver, tin, copper and zinc.

NTI & catch/click in TMJ30 Apr 2007 16:17 GMT64
About 20-25 years ago, I got one of those plastic night guards that
fit over the upper teeth. I had had several root canals due to
hairline fractures.
About 2 years ago, a tooth literally came apart in my mouth. It had
NTI30 Apr 2007 15:53 GMT62
where do I buy a NTI?
NTI is used only on two front teeth. Will this give too much pressure
on them since normally all teeth share the biting force?
Mouthwash Controversy30 Apr 2007 13:35 GMT1
MY dentist stated that with proper flossing, brushing & scheduled cleaning a
mouthwash is "generally" not necessary. Logic tells me that mouthwash will
kill both positive & negative oral bacteria. Which one of the two bacteria
is the dominant one?
Can't feel my teeth30 Apr 2007 12:49 GMT2
Three teeth of my upper right side went numb four days ago. Prior to
that for about a week I had severe headache on the same side. I took
aleve once a day for two days and the headache was gone. Just now I
realized that there may be a link between these two things. I will
Pulling wisdom tooth?30 Apr 2007 02:54 GMT2
My dentist said that my upper left wisdom tooth (which already has a
filling) has a cavity.  He said it's probably because it's really tough to
brush back there.  He said he could try to fill it in, but that it's
possible another cavity would show up, and that it would be better ...

I have had all my amalgam fillings removed by a bio-dentist in
Scotland.
He is now telling me that i should have my teeth put back to their pre

Dental Follow up Service fees?27 Apr 2007 21:03 GMT14
Wanting to protect a recent implant investment I saw my dentist for a hard
occlusal night guard. The charges since the initial visit have caught me off
guard (no pun intended).  My dentist has a policy of "office visit charges
apply to all visits without billable services."  I ...
gum growth27 Apr 2007 19:42 GMT1
I had two pre-molars extracted a few days ago. One of them was so hard
to come out, I didn't know what the dentist did, but the resulting
hole was so big, even part of the gum on the side was missing too.
So when I pull up my lips, I see a triangular chunk of gum missing

slow replacement of milk teeth27 Apr 2007 09:27 GMT2
My 7 year old is replacing her milk teeth with adult ones; all of her
teeth are being replaced fairly quickly.  However, there is one milk
tooth that she lost over two months ago and still there is no adult
replacement at all showing.  Is that normal for a replacement to be
