Laser dentistry15 Feb 2007 20:46 GMT12
For some reason I got it into my head that the use of lasers in dentistry
has pretty well ended the need for a drill or at least reduced its need.
So whenever I ask my dentist about the use of lasers (mainly as a way to
reduce anxiety) he scoffs and says that lasers are used ...
Keep popping out filling15 Feb 2007 20:03 GMT16
I scheduled an appointment with the dentist today because last night I
popped out one of my fillings sometime during the night.
This particular filling I've dislodged once before, I'm averaging about 3
years per refill.  Its a composite, at the gumline, on the front surface of

Cost of Dental Implants in NJ/PA15 Feb 2007 03:18 GMT9
Hello group, does anyone know more or less about the cost of dental
implants in New jersey or PA? I have a choice of either a bridge
(about 2800 from which I pay half) or an implant (3000 from which I
have to pay the whole amount)
Teeth whitening laser treatment?14 Feb 2007 20:03 GMT15
I once tried to whiten my teeth with a custom made plastic thing that
fit over my teeth, which held gel that I wore at night. After I
increased the dosage of the gel it hurt like hell so I quit using it.
Meanwhile a friend of mine just had his whitened using some new laser
Hydrate before dental appointments?14 Feb 2007 16:30 GMT5
I was wondering, is it generally better or worse to hydrate before a dental
appointment?  Obviously over hydrating isn't a good thing - unless the
dentist has catheter for you to use, but when having your teeth worked on,
would hydrating decrease the pain felt and or lessen ...

Failed Apicoectomy?13 Feb 2007 22:53 GMT62
I had an apicoectomy done on a failed root canal in June,
2006. It was done on the 2nd molar from the back, bottom
left. Starting about November, I noticed swelling (a
fistula) at this molar's gum. At my request, my endodontist
Dentist Damaged Front Teeth w/ Instruments?13 Feb 2007 14:48 GMT6
My destist struck my two front upper teeth with an instrument today
while I was getting cavities filled. A metal instrument that he was
using crashed against my teeth with a decent amount of force. It
occurred when he was removing the "clasp" (I call it this - it what
Teeth and nail file13 Feb 2007 09:29 GMT9
My question may be too funny. But I wonder if shaping your teeth with
nail sandpaper works. I have a friend who think his canines too sharp
smooths them using a nail file very often. Will it really work?
Good online videos of dental health practice?13 Feb 2007 02:19 GMT1
Hi, youtube has lots of results for "flossing" and "dental health",
but they're most of them "look at me flossing my cat's teeth" or "the
government are killing children with fluoridation" stuff rather than
anything useful. Anyone here know of useful online dental health
Fifteen years since TMJs replaced - celebrate!12 Feb 2007 21:24 GMT6
One week from today on January 14th, it will be fifteen (15) years since
my mutilated TMJs were replaced with prosthetic joints.
Even though the original catastrophe occurred 24 years ago this March, I
prefer to celebrate the years as before Techmedica (TMJ Concepts) and
