Crown questions28 Feb 2007 15:05 GMT2
I wonder how many times a dental crown can be replaced until it has to
get extraction and implant. I got my replaced. Just worried what will
happen next time since I know how much tooth was shaved to make space
for the crown.

I asked the graduate school prof about an NTI28 Feb 2007 12:28 GMT19
My student dentist had indicated that she thought I grinded my teeth
and so should get a night guard. I said that I doubted I would be able
to wear one because I am a very light sleeper and had trouble wearing
the teeth whitening thing that was made for me a few years ago.
Tooth crack27 Feb 2007 19:24 GMT9
I found some cracks on the edge of my back teeth and searched on
internet. I think they might be so-called "craze lines".  Because I
don't have pain on these teeth.
How can I tell the difference between crack and craze lines? How do
Is this a mistake of an inexperienced surgeon or ...?27 Feb 2007 18:46 GMT11
Whenever I get gum surgery or implant surgery from my grad-student
dentist, I always end up choking towards the end of the session - an
hour and a half or so...
I always seem to get a lot of saliva and/or crap from the surgery

apart?
Today, an American (USA) dentist is on his way to Bologna, Italy where
he will study with two Italian dentists; Prof. G. Luksich and Dr. G.
Root canal on 8-year old27 Feb 2007 12:33 GMT4
Our then 8 year old daughter, on a trip to a friends house last
winter, took a tumble on a trampoline and traumatized one of her upper
front teeth.  The dentist performed a root canal.  At the time, she
did not cap the tooth.  She informed us that at our daughter's age,

I found some cracks on the edge of my back teeth and searched on

don't have pain on these teeth. But they are really long. They run
over the whole chewing surface.

Crown Removal and Replacement26 Feb 2007 23:21 GMT20
I had my normal 6 month appointment last week where I found out that
my previous dentist (the past 5 years) had sold the practice to a new
dentist.  He has installed all the new diagnostic tools that the
previous dentist did not have.
porcelain crown26 Feb 2007 22:18 GMT8
Why do many dentists recommend porcelain crown even though it is not
good to opposite tooth?
crown - captek26 Feb 2007 20:22 GMT17
My dentist recommended that I get a captek crown + bridge. It will
cost me $2,000 after insurance. The alternative is to have a silver/
metal cown/bridge for $1,200. Is captek worth the extra $800? The
bridge is for a molar that is hardly seen when i smile.
Gold Bridge Worth Anything?26 Feb 2007 20:22 GMT5
I recently came across my late mother's dental bridge. There is a
irregularly curved gold piece about two inches long and a half inch wide to
which four teeth are attached. Typically, is this sort of gold worth
anything?
