dry socket21 Dec 2006 15:14 GMT5
I recently had my wisdom teeth out and shortly after (~1 week) I had
developed dry sockets in my lower jaw.  They packed it with dressing
twice, and now just this morning I had the second dressing removed. But
now, my jaw is hurting again, but not really radiating.  Does anyone
S. Mutans21 Dec 2006 15:11 GMT6
I remember reading in this group once that S. Mutans was the main
cause of tooth decay.
Someone posted,  '...no S. Mutans, no tooth decay."  ( IIRC this was
disputed by another poster).

Root Canal On #31 - What Am I In For?18 Dec 2006 20:45 GMT23
I've never been a fan of the dentist. I'm 27 years old. I'm a bit of a
baby - can't stand needles, pain, and I really psych myself out about
things. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so I'm getting better
with the needles, but the whole idea still creeps me out. And again, I
Complications of extractions16 Dec 2006 13:44 GMT9
A month ago, my adult son had all his upper teeth removed for recurrent
abscesses and pain. He has diabetes, and until the abscesses started was
maintaining pretty good blood sugars. He originally had root canals in the
affected teeth, but infections seemed to get beyond the ...
Equilibration / Abfractions15 Dec 2006 19:41 GMT13
All,
I posted some time ago about a problem my dentist identified with
abfractions. I have started the treatment, and he has completed the
equilibration.
Cerec Inlay Bothering me15 Dec 2006 18:32 GMT4
I had 2 cerec inlays put into the 2 rear teeth on the left side bottom,
the last 2 teeth in the back.  Anyway I posted back in May about this
being a new dentist I am going to, due to moving to  a different state.
Although I had no problems with the 2 teeth and a third not done yet ...
4 months after root canal15 Dec 2006 18:28 GMT10
I had a root canal on an upper incisor about 4 months ago followed by a
post and permanent crown two weeks later. Ever since the permanent
crown (temporary was fitted between RC and permanent, the tooth has had
a strange sensitivity. It's not really 'pain' as such, and is more or
Wisdom tooth extraction vs. crown?15 Dec 2006 16:01 GMT4

Fracture in lower wisdom tooth.  Dentist says filling will no
longer work -- it has several -- and needs crown.  At the
moment, no acute problems with tooth.
No enamel on teeth15 Dec 2006 09:34 GMT4
Is there any way to whiten teeth that have no enamel on them?  I went
through a phase where I would eat lemons and salt everyday and now I am
left with very sensitive teeth with no enamel and are turning yellow.
I have always had problems with my teeth and have BEGGED dentists to
Teeth drying out due to fillings?????15 Dec 2006 03:41 GMT10
I've been going to the same dentist for over 10 years.  Never in that
time have I had any cavities or problems, and during every exam he has
told me how everything is good.
But on my last visit, he said I should replace my old (22 yr old)
retained upper cuspid15 Dec 2006 02:55 GMT10
I am 29 years old, and have a retained upper cuspid which is loose. The
permanent cuspid is behind it, in the palate, and I dont remember when
it erupted, but it looks like it is completely erupted. The baby tooth
has recently also developed a cavity on the inside.
