Similarly, a dental specialist such an orthodontist will earn more than

Could Apico have been avoided?27 Nov 2006 16:37 GMT1
My dentist sent me to a specialist to do my root canal.  I waited
several weeks and returned to my dentist to have the post installed. I
told my dentist I had pain and he took an xray but said he could not
see anything wrong. He said I might be sore for a few months from the

Dislocated left jaw and anterior displacement of the miniscus (cartilaginous disk) due to injury and osteoarthritis26 Nov 2006 04:20 GMT2
Hi.  Last April, as I was taking a bite out of an apple, I felt a sharp
pain of the left side of my jaw, accompanied with a terrible crunching
sound.  X-rays showed that I had dislocated it and that it was due to
osteoarthritis.  My family doctor sent me to an oral maxillofacial
filling in between teeth23 Nov 2006 18:50 GMT1
I just went to a dentist to have my amalgam filling replaced by
composite and he filled in between the teeth as well, so now i have 2,
and 3 teeth filled together, so I cannot floss between - is this
healthy? Is this normal practice? Can this be fixed?
Root Canal is not the worst thing there is23 Nov 2006 02:05 GMT7
Just wanted to put a positive post about my root canal experience, in
case anyone - like me - came to this site for reassurance that's it's
not so bad. While my dentist could do the procedure, I decided to see
an endodontist, and he was outstanding.  They said my appointment would

I am 39 and am considering braces. However, at the age of 20 I had a
root canal and metal posts and crowns placed in my upper 4 front teeth.
Is there any chance of destabilizing the posts by getting braces put on
them and moving the posts that are attached to the upper portion of ...

My two upper front teeth have always been in perfect position until
this year alone. I can't tell which tooth shifted but one tooth is out
a bit and one tooth is in a bit. It's not crooked or anything. It just
shifted forward or backwards. I can feel it with my tongue or when I

Can bruxism cause face shortening?19 Nov 2006 17:48 GMT2
My dentist says that bruxism can cause the whole face to shorten.
Frightening stuff, as he said it makes it look older and less
attractive!!
Is this true? And would your "everyday" moderate bruxism case lead to
Twinge of pain after overlay19 Nov 2006 17:43 GMT3
I switched dentists to one closer to home recently.  I had a filling go
bad and he recommended getting an overlay instead of just replacing the
