I'm used to chewing sugar free gum with xylitol after meals, the gum claims to be
recommended by the FDI.
But now my kids have discovered a bubble gum which they love, which is sugar free and
contains xylitol (5%), however it also contains fruit juice (3%) and citric acid.

I have tooth with a filling that has come out and the dentist is

Anesthesia  Issues25 Oct 2006 02:09 GMT2

Root Canal Anaesthesia and Recovery Time24 Oct 2006 14:43 GMT5
I might need a root canal (it could also be just a filling, but a root
canal is the worst case scenario), and I was wondering if it was OK to
just get it done with local anaesthesia and nitrous. I'm bad with
needles, but I can take them with nitrous fine-if the dentist gives the

I'm 35 and being treated for advanced periodontitis. My periodontist

I was just at the dentist office today and the dentist performed an
panoramic xray on another patient in the same room as me. I was lying
on the chair about 7or 8 feet away without any protection. I heard the

Sugar substitute can cause sensitivity?19 Oct 2006 20:15 GMT1
I ate some sugar free hard candy and the sugar substitute caused some of
my teeth to be extremely sensitive. I believe the substance was Zylitol? or
something like that. Do this make sense at all? Thank you.
