Not happy with dental work05 Sep 2006 18:59 GMT17
This problem goes wya back.  I had a dentist I loved, but she stopped taking
my insurance, so I went back to a practice I had formerly used.  They
assigned me a dentist, but I didn't like him.  Among other things, he had a
full conversation with the assistant while working on my ...

My crown is in and I'm happy with the end result, though angry about
the process the MDC DMO imposed. <gag>It's been like pulling teeth  and
Sensitive tooth05 Sep 2006 16:51 GMT4
Every few months or so, I have a tooth that seems to experience some
sensitivity. Cold things are the main culprit; not so much hot. Every
"episode" lasts no more than a few days and then goes away for a few
months. What could be causing this?

Do I really need 2 implants and a bridge or would one or two suffice?04 Sep 2006 21:46 GMT1
This is probably one of those questions only my oral surgeon can
answer, but I'd appreciate any discussion of this, here.
I am in the process of planning for more implant surgery, for #2 and
#4, with a crown bridged in between these 2. They are also saying I
Normal or Dry Socket?04 Sep 2006 14:59 GMT1
I had an extraction on my number 15 instead of a root canal. Prior to
the extraction I had no pain or dicomfort w/ the tooth other than mild
sensitivity to cold liquids sometimes. Three days later, I'm feeling
discomfort (more in the sense of soreness than pain) and I'm wondering
Soldering, Crown and Bridge,  Metal Framework Bridges04 Sep 2006 04:21 GMT1
I am a crown and bridge dental laboratory owner. For many years,
I have cut and soldered metal ceramic gold alloy bridges to attain
optimum fit, adaptation, and balance to the restoration. The reasons to
do this are important, and dependant on the size, and design of the
Dentist - NC Anyone heard of Dr. Nash?04 Sep 2006 04:21 GMT5
Went to see my general dentist for follow-up and she suggested I see a
cosmetic dentist that is in Charlotte for some hefty cosmetic work.
Has anyone any thoughts on the guy.  I am told he does a lot of the
NASCAR teams, although I'm not sure what this really says about the
Becoming a dental hygienist04 Sep 2006 04:21 GMT1
I am planing on changing careers....  It's a very big step for me. I am
kind of nervous. I am in the computer industry right now and pay is not
going anywhere but flat to down as we compete with other countries for
jobs.  Job security is totally non existent.  I am thinking on ...
Permanent dentures or regular dentures?03 Sep 2006 16:46 GMT1
I have had dentures since 1995. They are chipping pretty bad, guess I
am lucky they lasted this long. I am debating if I should go with
regular ones like I have now or permanent. I haven't discussed
permanent with dentist, as I had hoped to do implants till he told me
root canal trouble03 Sep 2006 16:41 GMT3
I had a root canal last month and in the last couple of days I have noticed
significant swelling around the tooth that received the root canal. There is
minimal pain in the tooth.....is this something that would usually pass or
does it need to receive attention? What would be the ...
Did the hygenist damage my teeth?03 Sep 2006 16:40 GMT2
Although I neglected my teeth somewhat as a youth, as an adult I've tried to
take very good care of them. At 47 I've had a moderate amount of dental work
done. Briefly, I recently went in for a cleaning and checkup.  After my
cleaning the hygenist conversation with my dentist ...
