model) as good as the more expensive ones?  I think they only cost
around $15 on sale.
hard boney masses in lower jaw...20 Aug 2006 00:44 GMT2
I am a 28 year old male that is in pretty good health, never had any serious

Hi Group,
First and foremost, I appreciate all of your excellent advise; it helps

I had tooth (#18) extracted due to fracture (likely caused by biting on
food though I don't recall particular traumatic event).
I had an exam one year ago and there were no problems -- I'd never had
any cavities or previous gum problems and regularly brush and floss.

bleed.  I brush and floss regularly.
Some of my gums are receeded, I am not worried about the cosmetic
aspect but is this a problem that needs addressing?  If the gums keep

Occlusal guard recommended15 Aug 2006 16:54 GMT3
I was at a specialist who told me I don't need a crown on my molar and
she told me I should consider an occlusal guard. She seems excessive
wear on the molars. I am completely unaware that I grind my teeth. In
any case, she said my periodontist can probably do this for me. My
