| Perio Chart | 23 Jul 2006 20:21 GMT | 4 |
I go to my dentist every 6 months. About once a year, he sticks a probe in my gums and says "3, 2, 3, 4, 2..." to his assistant. What is he checking for and what do the numbers mean?

| Request information for crown replacement | 21 Jul 2006 19:40 GMT | 2 |
I could use some information/advice because I sure didn't get any from my last dentist. My situation is this. A few years ago I had to have a root canal (no posts) and crown placed on #14. It had a deep filling through the top of the tooth placed many years before that

I need a periodontist to get a second opinion. Can someone here give me some names? There are not a lot of periodontists listed in the phone book and they all seem to be part of these big group practices that make you go through a big deal to get to the specialist.
