Underbite: 3 years post surgery problem15 Jun 2006 14:56 GMT2
I had jaw surgery to correct my underbite 3 years ago at age 23 (which
was excruciatingly painful).  The surgeon broke my palate and moved my
maxilla forward and shortened my mandible.  I had a pretty bad
underbite that was very noticeable aesthetically.  I am an asian male
Best OTC or online whitening product?15 Jun 2006 07:13 GMT2
Forget about the Whitelight device - no way am I going to put that in my
mouth unless under professional supervision.
That said, what is the best over the counter product for whitening teeth?
I've heard the paint ons like Night Effects are worthless.  Is Crest White
Dental Ethics15 Jun 2006 02:01 GMT10
Just yesterday, heart pounding, I approached my dentist with two
separate diagnosis that called for the replacement of cerec procedures
they performed that had gone bad. That is a second and third opinion.
Has anyone gone to the table with a Dentist like this with regard to
Cerec Porcelain inlay14 Jun 2006 19:26 GMT16
A couple of questions for the group:
I just started seeing  a new dentist 3 months ago and on the initial
visit , he and his assistant convinced me that I need to replace the
old metal fillings on 3 teeth with porcelain inlays.  I never usually
Bonded tooth keeps getting chipped14 Jun 2006 15:14 GMT1
My chipped front tooth was first bonded about 25 years ago.  It lasted for
about 18 years.  When it started to erode, I had it redone.  In the last
2.5 years, the bonded part has fallen off 2x (usually while eating
something that's moderately hard).  Was the material used for ...
Root Canal work and Post nasal Drip14 Jun 2006 09:15 GMT3
Is it possible to get post nasal drip after root canal work.
Could there be an allergy connection between the material used in the
RC and the patient.
I have read some stories on the internet that Root Canal work can be
Partial Fit13 Jun 2006 11:44 GMT2
If you've never worn a partial before, how do you know if the fit is
proper. What are the signs that a partial fits too tight and is pulling
on the other teeth too hard or if that is normal?
Denture wearers13 Jun 2006 11:41 GMT2

have done now? Thanks for any advise and suggestions. e-mail welcome.

Some basic questions13 Jun 2006 03:29 GMT15
I need a four-unit bridge right side middle, and three unit bridge
upper left middle. The missing teeth don't bother me and the gaps can't
be seen when I smile so I'd just as soon not get the bridgework which I
can get pretty cheap at the local dental school.
gum question12 Jun 2006 13:34 GMT3
Would appreciate if someone could tell me what the name of the hard
white part of the gum (at the top of the lower gum, or the bottom of the
upper gum) is, and what is the name of the operation in which a
transplant of this material is made.
research before having root canal12 Jun 2006 13:26 GMT1
I urge people thinking about having root canal work done please do some
research as you may be suffering with face pain known as Trigeminal
Neuralgia.   There is much evidence asscociated with being misdiagnosed
by a dentist which results in unnecessary root canals or extractions.
Vicodin painkiller question.12 Jun 2006 01:29 GMT1
I have been taking Vicodin painkiller for one week due to gum pain.
Could this painkiller also lessen osteo-arthritis pain? I have
osteo-arthritis in the knee but haven't noticed as much knee pain since
taking the Vicodin.
Gums?12 Jun 2006 01:21 GMT13
I find that when I brush my teeth sometimes my gums bleed to easily...
I have also found that the gum levels feel like they mgiht be a bit low on
some of my lower teeth (i.e the teeth isnt deep enough and if the gum lowers
it will fall out)
DIY, fillings, materials - Questions12 Jun 2006 00:06 GMT3
Ok, now this is an honest question and please dont lecture me on how stupid
I am for even considering this (already heard the lectures, know the risks,
but am desperate).  I have a full set of xrays of my teeth so I can see
their anatomy and I have a high pain tolerance so that isnt ...
