Cavity cleaned before filled?18 Jun 2006 18:53 GMT5
Are cavities recommended to be cleaned thoroughly before they are filled?
Or does the cavity just get filled in immediately?
By cleaning the cavity, I mean should the dentist actually go in the cavity and
gently clean it out specifically - not just  a regular tooth polish/cleaning.
Mini Vs. Bicon Implant18 Jun 2006 16:48 GMT2
Pro, cons of each? This is to replace #19 in a mid twenties male who
had a failed root canal extracted 30 days ago.
Thanks in advance,

The average US dentist is barely average18 Jun 2006 04:24 GMT12
"The average dentist is barely average."
A few decades ago when the late, great Dr. Saul Schluger uttered these words
at a professional meeting he was castigated by the attending group for
making such a bold statement.  Dr Schluger was one of the founding fathers

I am so upset! I went to a periodontist (sp) who told me that he could give
me an implanted bridge.. no problem. Three  weeks ago I had all of my upper
teeth removed and 3 temporary implants placed. They put in the temporary
bridge which did not fit and flapped.. litterally. I was ...
asymetrical lip movement after lower jaw surgery17 Jun 2006 01:10 GMT2
Hello Group,
After doing a bit of lurking, I see that the contributors of this group
are most kind at answering questions from the general public.  I was
hoping to get an opinion or two about my situation.

I have been going to a Cerac dentist for the past 4 years.  He has done
a LOT of root canals, posts and crowns.  I am starting to wonder if he
is being a bit too aggressive, and there are other more conservative
things he could do.  On one of my teeth, I had a root canal, post ...

The twin Dentists are a great service to the internet audience which
consists of many with real problems that need honest advice. Unlike
many, it seems that a lot of people have nothing better to do but
fiddle with subjects unrelated to their needs than to offer

[Overbite] Probably a Stupid Question16 Jun 2006 04:15 GMT2
I'm 22 and I have a slight overbite, and my teeth aren't perfectly lined up
either.
I'll probably get the teeth fixed, but my question is about the overbite.
Is the only realistic course of treatment for this, for the lower jaw to be
Local Dental School Doesn't Post Rates15 Jun 2006 17:34 GMT10
I'm ready to raise some hell with my local dental school because they
don't post their rates. In fact, the don't even tell you what they are
when you call up, telling you instead, "Our rates are 30% to 50% less
than the market rate."
tooth pain15 Jun 2006 15:59 GMT1
I went to have my teeth cleaned at my regular dentist office. While i was
there I was told I needed a cavity filled on a back bottom molar.  At this
point there was no pain and I did not know I had a cavity but the filling
would be a minor inexpensive procedure so I made the ...
