2 teeth worn down to gumline out-How difficult?26 Jun 2006 07:33 GMT3
Hi I have 2 teeth on left lower side, 2 molars that are worn down to
the gum line and are very decayed. I don't think the nerves are dead
yet. How difficult is it to get these teeth out? Cutting the gums?

8 teeth out at once?26 Jun 2006 07:07 GMT8
Just needed some information. My oral surgeon wants to take 8 teeth out
at once. 3 bad lower back molars, 2 wisdom teeth, 2 decayed upper teeth
and 1 old root canal. I am thinking of doing just a little at a time
and see how it goes. One upper left tooth had a toothache so I am

dental shenanigans26 Jun 2006 01:08 GMT2
I'm reading my own posts and can see my own escalating looniness. It
aint worth it.  I've called attorneys, got corroborating second
opinions from respectable Dentists, contacted various associations and
still, I have come to the conclusion that I have lost this thing. If it
A Strategy to Avoid America's Rip-off Dentists26 Jun 2006 01:08 GMT27
First thing: They're  all in it together. From coast to coast American
dentists have all signed-on to the religion of overcharging. And you
can forget about dental schools which were once a safe-haven for those
seeking reasonable dental fees -- no more. Today even dental schools
Looking for a dentist.26 Jun 2006 01:08 GMT4
I have a cavity in my top front tooth that doesn't hurt but doesn't
look too good.  I want a dentist to fill the hole and then stain it the
right color.  Is that too much to ask?  I've been to two different
dentists and they both tell me I need a root canal and a crown and they
Soft mushy gum after skin graft26 Jun 2006 01:08 GMT1
I had a receding gum on my top back tooth. I had a skin graft to cover
the receding gum and it was great for 8 months. Then I started getting
a funny taste. The skin graft became soft and mushy in my mouth. If I
touched it with my finger it felt the same as the other side. But with

Rebuilding Crowned Lateral Incisor with 4 unit bridge25 Jun 2006 15:06 GMT8
My front four upper teeth had crowns installed 17 years ago.  This was
done to close a gap between the central incisors, and because #7 and
#10 were "peg teeth".  I am also missing #6 and #11 (cuspids), which
never came in with adult teeth.

I am just 28 and I numerous fillings. Most are of the composite type. I've

-What can I do to make these fillings last longer
- Does it make a big difference on longevity wether the filling is on the
Why is finding a good dentist like finding a good auto mechanic?25 Jun 2006 15:06 GMT6
We have auto mechanics who say you need your brakes re-done.  You go to
another who says they are fine.  And guess what, that brakes last 30,000
miles more.
I had a dentist that said I had 6 decayed teeth.  Another that says they

Dental impants Upper25 Jun 2006 01:16 GMT9
I am at a loss. I had all of my upper teeth removed in April.  The oral
surgeon place 3 temporary implants and a bridge with broke 4 times before my
dentist made a thicker one and cemented it into place. After about 3 weeks
the back side became loose. The oral surgeon had me come in ...
Possible Nerve Damage After Bone Graft Surgery24 Jun 2006 15:43 GMT4
Almost a year ago I have had a bone graft surgery, unfortunately it has
failed and my dentist had to clean it up and remove the synthetic
materials he used. I needed this surgery for the implants that needed
to be placed in my lower left area of my mouth.
