decay under 1 wing of Maryland bridge04 Mar 2006 00:17 GMT4
I have decay under a wing of Maryland bridge that was done 7 years ago.
My dentist recommended taking it out and replacing it with crown
bridge.  I am just wondering why can we just fill the decay and keep my
bridge? I don't want a new bridge unless it is really neccessary.
Wisdom Teeth, Insurance and braces03 Mar 2006 22:15 GMT4
Hello. I am a 26 year old with impacted wisdom teeth. I only have 3 and
don't see any signs or problems from them yet. Would it be wise to
figure out a way to get them out? I really would like to get braces and
I am afraid that this may need to be done before they get put on. I
Replacing old bridge with a new one???03 Mar 2006 21:58 GMT1
My dentist has recommended replacing my 20 year-old porcelain-on-metal
6 tooth bridge with a new one. I am 56 yrs. old and have experienced no
problems with the old bridge other than a slight gum recession that
shows a gray (unsightly) line at the gum line. The bridge is top front
More Dental Snake Oil?03 Mar 2006 15:47 GMT9
The Hydrofloss dental irrigation system is sold only by dentists. It costs
about $ 135. To me it looks like a glorified Waterpik but my dentist
recommends it highly.
What bothers me, more than the other hype, is the claim:
Loose crown and Superglue03 Mar 2006 15:08 GMT5
My crown came off and I stuck it back in using superglue. It seems
quite secure but can I leave like this or should I get it re cemented?
Post-Extraction Infection? Dry Socket?03 Mar 2006 13:20 GMT2
Hey there...hopefully someone here can give me some info! I had a
lower, left molar extracted last Monday and I am in horrible pain! I am
still very swollen and the pain is incredible - I haven't slept more
than 3 hours a night since Monday. Saw the dentist on Thursday and they
Gum Recession From Brushing Too Hard?03 Mar 2006 13:20 GMT4
I recently noticed my gums have receded a bit, and it has given me
cause for concern. When I look at my gums, however, they don't look
particularily infected... Though they do bleed when I brush them
occassionally. I believe I may have a habit of brushing too roughly
Question about decay03 Mar 2006 13:20 GMT3
If a tooth has decay and only needs a filling, if the tooth is always
cleaned and flossed after every time the person eats, can the tooth
heal itself in the sense that the decay will "disappear" and healthy
enamel replaces the decayed enamel?
Where Have all the Brushes Gone?03 Mar 2006 13:20 GMT3
I can't seem to find a flat, straight-handled, soft-bristled,
small-head brush any more.
All the stores sell angled, fat-handled, funny-shaped ones, and the
Periosontal cyst? Please take a look at this film03 Mar 2006 13:20 GMT2
I was told by my dentist that my tooth (#28) has a prominent periodontal
cyst and needs to be extracted. The tooth is asymptomatic most of the time,
but on occasion I develop a small gum swelling at the base of #28 (which I
puncture). No pain or sensitivity in the tooth. My ...

lost invisaligns02 Mar 2006 19:13 GMT1
Well I know this is going to sound really dumb, but here goes my daughter has
invisaligns and has managed to loose her last four sets. I was just wondering
if anyone could tell me what the cost of replacing them would be or if i can
replace them?
rip off or not?02 Mar 2006 19:13 GMT10

something awful so he went to the dentist to get it pulled.  we are
incredibly broke so that is why we figured to just get it pulled.  ...

Scanning Dental X-rays into Computer?02 Mar 2006 03:42 GMT6
I do the computer stuff for a dentist. We recently converted his claim
submission operation from paper to electronic (WebMD/emdeon). Now he is
interested in sending the x-rays on a Pre-Authorization. There is a
company National Electronic Attachment that sells software ...
