| Appropriate charge to repair chipped tooth? | 19 Jan 2006 04:31 GMT | 3 |
When I saw a new dentist in December, he did a little bit of grinding on my teeth. One of my top front teeth had a little chip on the bottom. He also said that they were too long. So he ground them both down a little and made them

Dear Toni As a practicing dentist when I have an overly cautious patient say what you have said regarding radiographs I have them sign a waiver that reads something like this:

I am currently looking for a new job. I have completed my vt last year. With all these changes to the NHS and the timing of trying to find a new job, I am seriously considering private practice. I wanted some advice if this seems feasible. I qualified in 2004 and have

| Dental software | 16 Jan 2006 18:31 GMT | 1 |
Hi guys. I'm in the process of converting my mother's dental practice from paper to computer. I'm doing the data entry myself. We got EasyDental (2005), which doesn't seem to enjoy a great reputation here (at least didn't a few years ago) but I'm pretty happy with it so far.

I know in an ideal world teeth should be brushed at least twice a day. Is it Ok or acceptable to have one good brush per day, I mean a thorough brush as opposed to a quick once over. How long should you really have a check up and to have your teeth descaled?

Hi, at a recent visit to my dentist, I've discovered that I need to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled and have a surgery scheduled for early February. In the meantime, my jaw and one of those teeth are very sore. To alieviate the pain, my dentist perscribed tylenol 3 and ...

| Is articaine / septocaine my problem? | 15 Jan 2006 02:55 GMT | 4 |
I just got a hold of my dentist and told him about the pain I'm having from the injection sites on my lower gum (in the tissue below my gums, below the tendon thingy that connects the lip to gum tissue, whatever you call it). His response was to keep taking amoxicillin and Tylenol ...

| Question About Referred Pain | 14 Jan 2006 21:32 GMT | 2 |
I had a periodontal pocket curretted today due to swelling that occurs from time to time. I was given local anesthesia. There is no abscess on the tooth itself, just a chronic gum problem if I'm late on my cleanings.
