Wisdom Teeth25 Jan 2006 17:02 GMT2
I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled 8 days ago.  One of the teeth I guess was
complicated and they had to drill into my bone and split my gum or
something allong those lines.  I woke up before it was done and he was
cracking that tooth with pliers and then I went back to sleep.

post (1/17/06 2:59P) he had already decided that the work was substandard.
My post "for the JD's of this world" on 1/18/2006 9:45P states the longevity
of crowns and its various factors most of which have ...

Text: The idea that tooth loss is a normal part of ageing is a myth - providing you take
good care of your teeth, there's no reason why you shouldn't have as many teeth in your 70s as in your 20s.

wife's crowns keep falling out...is this bad workmanship?21 Jan 2006 20:10 GMT12
My wife has had 3 crowns fall out in the past 2 months (all were originally
put in by the dentist she keeps going to).  She keeps going back to the
same dentist, for 25 years she's been going to him.  2 of the crowns that
fell out were recently put in.  Sounds like bad ...
To JD20 Jan 2006 16:33 GMT5
Why JD are you telling Sue to get lost?  Oh I understand because her opinion
is different than yours.
And as for a second or even third opinion, that might cost money that your
insurance won't cover, I understand JD.  I know a couple of cases of beer

Dental Orthogonal Radiographic Analysis ?20 Jan 2006 07:29 GMT1
Is this technique reputedly  as claimed here ?
Is it something that would be taken seriously for example by medical
authority , organisation here in the uk as evidence of cranial damage
or lesions such as this Doctor describes  ?

Obviously long standing scientific investigation of the safety vs risk of
radiographs can be thrown out the window due to your anecdotal reference of
your childs pediatrician.  She obviously knows better than all of the
Ballpark cost of endodontic exam in NY/US and what exactly is done?19 Jan 2006 17:12 GMT1
My dentist keeps wanting to try different things (billing me every time, of
course).  He did mention that an endodontic exam would give a better
picture of what's going on, but he want to put a temp crown on for six
months to deal with my pressure sensitivity and let the tooth ...

Use temp crown to see if root canal is needed?19 Jan 2006 09:59 GMT1
I have pressure sensitivity after biting an unpopped popcorn kernel.
First, dentist tried replacing existing filling/repairing cracks with
bonding material (tooth-colored material whatever it is).  This just had no
effect.
