what should I do to help myself handle oral surgery easier?29 Jan 2006 01:42 GMT5
I'm having a complicated oral surgery done in two days. This is a tooth
that has been covered by a crown for several years. There's an
infection underneath the tooth, on the root, that's been there for a
long time and is getting larger. The tooth itself may be rotten under
Wisdom tooth removal for 37 year old29 Jan 2006 01:39 GMT2
I am 37 years old and scheduled to undergo removal of my right side
wisdom teeth. About five years ago the left two were removed under IV
sedation. If you are like every other dentist I have talked to, you
probably will ask why they didn't remove all four while they were at
Cracked crown29 Jan 2006 01:33 GMT7
I got a crown done on an upper molar in 1999.  After a few months I was still

So he took the crown off, did the root canal, and then put the crown back on

Dental Crowns - Things to Know about Dentistry
Many people wonder about how long a crown should last and if the life of a

Could this help relax dental patients?28 Jan 2006 13:46 GMT2
I wondered whether artwork, aquarium fish or relaxing scenes on DVD
from "DVD art" at http://www.dvdart.co.uk might be useful to run on a
Plasma, LCD or TV screen either in the waiting room or surgery to help
relax the patients.
Filling?28 Jan 2006 13:34 GMT1
Apologies if this is not suitable material for this NG, but I wasn't sure
who to ask.
Basically, yesterday I think one of my fillings, in a tooth near the back of
my upper jaw, fell out.  Or, at least, I think it did - I was eating

silver temporary crown and tomatoes27 Jan 2006 06:07 GMT8
Several days ago my dentist did preparation for a crown and installed a
temporary silver crown while we are waiting for the permanent one to be made.
Ever since then whenever I eat tomatoes I get shooting pains in that side of my
