Bite wing x-ray of every tooth?31 Jan 2006 07:10 GMT30
Two months ago when I was having an abscessed wisdom tooth extracted I had

Today I went back in for a general check up, and to have any cavities
filled that the dentist found. I was pleasantly surprised to find I ...
Build up tooth or file down?31 Jan 2006 04:30 GMT5
I have braces on right now to fix my bite, but my previously straight
front teeth are now slightly uneven. Basically my two front teeth are
different lengths (maybe .5 to 1mm max) and when the braces line them
up they will be even on the gumline but the length different will be

Wisdom Tooth Extraction31 Jan 2006 03:03 GMT5
My adult son had two wisdom teeth removed today.  He says that on one,
a piece of cheek bone about the diameter of a dime and as thick as a
quarter came out with the tooth.  The dentist said that the bone will
"grow back".  Is this true?  Or if not, is this something to be

Keeping your teeth - whatever your ag
Text: The idea that tooth loss is a normal part of ageing is a myth - providing you take
good care of your teeth, there's no reason why you shouldn't have as many teeth in your 70s as in your 20s.
Although most people understand that decay can ...

14 crowns at the age 25---do I hold the world record?29 Jan 2006 12:47 GMT4
I am a walking dental disaster. I have always taken care of my teeth,
going to the dentist all the time. Yet, my teeth just keep getting
worse and worse. Right now I am 25 years old and I already have 14
crowns (that cover teeth that had root canal treatments), one molar was
Gold _over_ porcelain29 Jan 2006 12:46 GMT7
Hello. I just brought this up in another tread, but I think its worthy
of a new thread.
I've read about porcelain over gold fillings. As I understand it, the
gold is glued to the tooth and acts like a cushion/pillow for porcelain

Choices in fillings/restorations29 Jan 2006 12:40 GMT9
Hello. I'm planning to get some dental work this year. The plan is to
to replace all the amalgam with better quality fillings, either
porcelain or gold, and add braces after. Yesterday I had two amalgams
replaced with porcelain onlays/partial-crowns. My dentist said these
