I have got a back tooth on the RHS of my jaw with a huge filling that has cracked and causing discomfort when I eat. Due to the 'hack and crack' method utilised by a trainee dentist when i was on the public health system 10 years ago, I have had the back 3 teeth on the LHS

I am planning to have a crown put in for a tooth in the upper right side towards the back (tooth #3). The tooth there was extracted about a year ago. Since there is not enough bone, a bone graft needs to be done for the dental implant to be put in.There are 2 procedures to do this.

Had a crown replaced 6 months ago and off and on it hurts when I floss. Otherwise no pain and no blood. With the old crown there was a bad smell in the area as there was bacteria in the tooth. Dentist said to wait and see if the pain would go away.

How does whitening toothpaste work? Is it abrasive? Does it work like a sandpaper and therefore will damage your teeth for long term use? Does it work like painting your wall with white paint? Does it work like regular tooth paste but with stronger cleaning chemical formula?
