WISDOM TEETH EXTRACTION AT AGE 5510 Sep 2005 01:41 GMT6
My periodontist suggested that my wisdom teeth be extracted due to 10
mm pockets by one of them (lower right). Both dentist and oral surgeon
were neutral, at best about this idea as the teeth themselves are ok.
I'm nervous about negative effects of surgery.
Water Pik09 Sep 2005 22:19 GMT4
I think I already know the answer to this question, but thought I would
get everyone's thoughts.  I went to a dentist who's staff advised to
purchase a water pik (how convenient, they have them for sale in the
office!).  The dental hygienist also told me that if I use a water pik

dentalcom.net - smd gateway09 Sep 2005 17:02 GMT194
Just a short note.  I have been posting to smd for well over 10 years.
Usenet was what it was.  SMD is no longer just a newsgroup with the gateway
up and running. I was quite content with it (and especially since due to a
group effort most of the resident malcontents quit posting ...

brushing, but a few minutes later, so I didn't immediately ...

I am considering chelation therapy using alpha lipoic acid and possibly
oral dmsa. I am going to have all of the amalgam fillings in my teeth
removed before doing so. I have however recently had a titanium dental
implant done. Does anyone have any experience with chelating a person
Freezing 29 and 30 WITHOUT numbing the tongue?09 Sep 2005 04:19 GMT11
From the start, I have generalized panic disorder. I had a wisdom tooth removed
and the absolute worst part of it was the surgeon did a nerve block and numbed
the left half of my tongue , I LOST IT!! I just can NOT handle the numb tongue.
I requested carbocaine and that should have ...
Dental picks for the general public?09 Sep 2005 01:05 GMT4
Hey Guys,
Just wondering why I can't find any good dental picks online.
I seem to get plaque buildup fairly quickly on my lower front teeth and
was hoping to do my own cleaning in between my scheduled visits (every
Root Canal Nightmare09 Sep 2005 00:57 GMT19
My dentist told me I needed a root canal on number 30 lower right
molar. I arrived at the office in a curious mood, never having a root
canal I wasn't sure what to expect. At 40 I'm no stranger to the
dentist office, I've had teeth pulled, fillings, wisdom teeth cut out

treatments I dont understand how this can be so expensive.
In the netherlands prices are fixed per treatment, every dentist charges the
same per treatment
