I have to replace an amalgam filling in my upper molar that is large. From what I understand, one option is to have the tooth reconstructed with a porcelain or gold onlay, rather than a composite "white" filling for durability.

I've been without a bridge for 7 years. The metal part to which the bridge was attached has become imbedded in my gums. Would it take a great deal of work to remove it? Possibly get a new bridge?
