Since my last dental cleaning (they said I had no cavities), I started
feeling what seemed to be a cavity (dull ache after eating or drinking) in
one of my upper bicuspids, which has no filling and no visible problems.
About a month ago, it got worse and anytime food or drink ...

I have to replace an amalgam filling in my upper molar that is large.
From what I understand, one option is to have the tooth reconstructed
with a porcelain or gold onlay, rather than a composite "white" filling
for durability.

I've been without a bridge for 7 years. The metal part to which the
bridge was attached has become imbedded in my gums. Would it
take a great deal of work to remove it? Possibly get a new bridge?

NO2 if VASTLY overrated. I honestly don't believe I felt even the

I think the diagnodent a great diagnostic tool.  They say on their web site
that this new thing detects interproximal cavities too...
